About KALIDI
The short version
KALIDI is a small bag label. The people behind KALIDI draw the shapes, pick the materials and put them on sale through a retail partner. That partner takes the order, the payment, the delivery and any return. This site is our catalogue: it lists every bag, names the material, says what fits inside, then hands you over to the partner when you want to buy.
How the range is kept
The KALIDI way is to revise rather than to add. When a strap length annoys us we change it, and the previous version stops. That keeps the lineup at 117 pieces. It also means the site sometimes shows two bags that differ by a single detail, and we say which detail rather than hiding it.
What the materials do in rain
Water resistant does not mean waterproof, and we never call a bag either one. A coated cotton tote in a downpour lets water through the seams, suede marks where the drops dry, and mesh is open by design. We print what the maker states about a material and nothing stronger than that.

Do you sell the bags here?
No. Every piece is stocked by our retail partner, and the button on each card opens it there. Payment, delivery and returns are settled on their side.
Why does the price here differ from the price at the partner?
The figure on our card is from our last update, and the partner's price moves with stock and season. The update date sits at the bottom of every page.
Which bags take a laptop?
The work totes and the backpacks. Most are stated for a 15 inch machine; the exact inches are printed on each piece where the maker states them.
Are the materials waterproof?
No. Corduroy, suede, canvas and straw are not waterproof and we do not describe them as water resistant either unless the maker does. Mesh is open by design.
How do I clean a suede bag?
Dry brush along the nap, and keep it away from water, because suede marks where it dries. The care page has the rest by material.
